The happiest people in the world are not those who have no problems, but those who learn to live with things that are less than perfect.'
A group of graduates, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee, the professor said: 'If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the simple and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases, it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... Then you began eyeing each other's cups.'
Now ! consider this:
'Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee. Enjoy your coffee!.'
The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
1. Live simply. 2. Love generously. 3. Care deeply. 4. Speak kindly.
You are the miracle, my friend; Your life either shines a light OR casts a shadow! Shine a light & Enjoy the Coffee!!!
So true, it looks like we've been enjoying too much on materials and status instead of treasuring what we have and making the best out of it. Enjoy and treasure your life, family, loved ones, friends, and live with everything that's imperfect around you. With the ability to love, instead of grumbling about the flaws others have, enjoy the coffee within if that's your life.
Embrace what's in for you, while constantly learn and walk through the constant path of learning. Dreaming is easy, but learning to accept is hard. Everyone can hate or grumble about your flaws, but it's up to you whether you can accept who you are and spread the love. Everyone has someone to love and people to love them.
To my baby girl:
It's been tough for you these few days, and i cannot say i understand what you're going through. All i can say is that i feel what you feel, the tears you shed makes me heartache, the stress you have makes me want to solve everything for you, the emptiness in you makes me dying to hold you in my arms. I'm always your pillar of support, i guide and i shine your path during your darkest period for i know my heart and soul is revolving around you. It's still up to you accepting and walk with me through the lighted pathway and i know you will.
When I was worried, upset and lost. Your words calmed me down 'Stay happy for me'. Now, all i ever want is to see my baby girl happy too! I'll do anything.
With the faith i have in you, i believe you'll be standing strong against all odds as life is never fair and perfect, you'll turn the odds in your favor and accepting everything that's in for you. Walking hand in hand together in life on the pathway of constantly learning, loving, sharing, treasuring is what we both want.
With love!
p/s: you're already part of my life, and my heart will always be with you.
